WHAT DOES IT TAKE to see a GENERATION truly following JESUS?
For over 30 years we’ve been passionate about equipping leaders and students to influence a generation for Jesus. Whether through training workshops, creative learning events, ministry coaching or just a great conversation over a coffee or three… we love to connect with and partner with people just like you.
YMA’s core purpose is partnering with God’s people to equip and mobilise leaders who will influence this generation for Jesus.
Our desire is to foster long term working relationships with kingdom-minded local churches, leaders, networks, para-church organisations and schools workers who are passionately committed to seeing young people become followers of Jesus.
This we will do through a number of initiatives which include:
- youth leader & student learning experiences
- ministry leader consulting & coaching
- schools ministry & internships
- mission projects & resources
We firmly believe that the life and ministry of Jesus provides us with a transferable model for our own life and ministry. Jesus’ life also provides us with the essential movement principles needed for growing healthy disciple-making youth ministries.
Youth Ministries Australia was founded in 1979 by Bill and Faye Hodgson as the youth ministry arm of Campus Crusade for Christ Australia. From our beginning we have served the local church in equipping those with a ministry amongst youth in building Jesus centred church and school based ministries.
Here in Western Australia, Matt and Rosemary Fricker are leading the movement. As missionaries with CCCA, their role will be to help YMA to achieve its vision of seeing…

Promoting, initiating and co-ordinating youth leader training events such as SeaChange and WaveMakers.

Promoting, initiating and co-ordinating student learning experiences such as Immerse.

Initiating and facilitating ministry leader workshops and networking events.

Being available to coach key youth leaders / ministries who share a common goal in wanting effective disciple multiplying youth ministries.

Partnering with and encouraging school ministries / school chaplains in their work with young people, especially in regard to promoting YMA philosophy, materials and programs.

Being available and open to any mission opportunities that may present themselves, whether local, national or international.

Being the WA point of contact for all YMA resource materials as required.
